A few things to note:
-When buying perfume, what you smell in the bottle will be different than what it smells like on. The various perfume materials will interact differently to each individual wearer's natural body chemistry. Always smell a perfume on the skin not just the bottle.
-Also in that vein, the perfume will smell different as it evolves and dries down on the skin. The initial scent will not be the same after the dry down. Sometimes the reward is in the dry down.
-As a consumer of leave-on skin products (perfume), you assume risk. As a maker of leave-on skin products (perfume), even though I would never use something that is potentially harmful, there is no way I can predict how everyone's skin will react to every single ingredient available to me, or used. That is why it is always advisable to test on a small patch of skin first.
-Always test a perfume on a small patch of skin, if irritation or allergic reaction occurs, discontinue use.
-These perfumes are made without parabens, sulfates, and phthalates, synthetic propellants, and any other nasties, so it will affect the sillage (projection) of the fragrance. The perfume will not walk into a room before you do.
-Solid and oil based perfumes will stick closer to the wearer, for a more intimate experience. They will also be softer, rounder, and less sharp than alcohol based perfumes.
-A tincture is any botanical (plant material or resin) or synthetic (crystalline or paste form) soaked in high-proof alcohol, anywhere from a week to a month.
-A botanical infusion is similar to a tincture, but in the place of high-proof alcohol, high quality vegetal oil (jojoba, fractionated coconut, grapeseed, etc.) is used.
-Bottles are filled by weight, not volume, so levels may vary.
-All perfumes made in this shop are Eau de parfum concentration, unless listed otherwise. Eau de parfum should last approximately 4-5 hours on the skin.
-Please do not use if pregnant, especially anything containing essential oils.
-All perfumes are alcohol-based unless stated otherwise (oil-based, solid, etc.)
-Store in a cool, dry, dark, place.
